Brown Butter Lobster Roll

​Lobster Roll Ingredients

  •         Kosher salt

  •         1 pound cooked lobster meat (tail and claw) cut into 1/2 pieces

  •         1 celery stalk, finely chopped

  •         2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  •         1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh chives plus some for garnish

  •         3 tablespoons mayonnaise

  •         1 teaspoon fresh tarragon chopped

  •         6 New England–style split-top hot dog buns

  •         3 tablespoons brown butter



Brown Butter Instructions




  •         2 sticks (8 ounces) butter

  •         Medium saucepan or skillet

  •         Heat-proof bowl

  • Melt the butter over medium-low heat swirling the pan occasionally to cook evenly.

  • Continue to cook for approximately 5 minutes until the butter turns light brown and has a nutty aroma.

  • Take the pan off the heat and transfer that delicious browned butter into a heatproof bowl.


Lobster Roll Instructions


  • Mix lobster meat, celery, lemon juice, chives, mayonnaise and tarragon in a medium bowl and season with salt and pepper.

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Butter the pan and lay the buns flat side down. Cook until golden, about 2 minutes per side; fill with lobster mixture. Drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of the brown butter over the lobster roll. Garnish with chives. Enjoy your delicious lobster goodness.
